My son resolved all the problems from this paper. Made only 2 mistakes (out of 50). And who says children are not capable??? Bear in mind, he is not 10 yet!
What I observe though: lack of fluency in addition and subtraction. Calculations still take too much time. He managed to work within the time limit (had 6 minutes to spare), but needs to calculate faster. More practice papers needed. Shouldn't maths curriculum go back to "old times" when we had homework every day???
